Miami Beach
Miami Beach is an island city separating the Atlantic Ocean from Biscayne Bay. Miami Beach has the largest Art Deco collection of architecture in the world, in an area known as the Art Deco District. Miami Beach is a popular tourist destination and has over 91,917 full time residents. South Beach is part of Miami. The dividing line between the two beaches is 23rd Street. The north of this line is Miami Beach and the south is known as South Beach. The elevated boardwalk along Miami Beach's central section is ideal for strolling, jogging and skating. A little less crowded and quieter than South Beach, this beach is close to the sidewalk cafes, bars, and concession stands that define classic Miami Beach, as well as historic sites like the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel. At the southern tip of Miami Beach you'll discover legendary South Beach which is consistently ranked as one of the best beaches in Miami.
